Although you may think that by their very nature, urinary tract infections are difficult to treat, they actually respond very well to a urinary tract home remedy such as the one you can see details of on the link below. Many people prefer natural remedies, particularly if they are free of side effects and harsh ingredients. There is a urinary tract home remedy which begins to get rid of the pain within just a few minutes and most people are completely pain free by the following day. It is fully guaranteed to work and can be delivered to your inbox in just a couple of minutes with no delays and no expensive shipping costs. It works to both get rid of the existing infection and to give you strategies to ensure you remain free of infections for good. Home Remedies For UTI Ignorance is bliss they say. However, do you find this practical when you read so much about urinary tract infections in men?
A few of the self-help steps which I have found useful include quite simple things such as drinking plenty of water and using a hot water bottle on the abdomen. If I had a particularly severe infection, I would go against the general advice given and sit in a bath of warm water (normal advice is to have showers rather than baths).
Antibiotics work by killing off bacteria. The problem is that they do not distinguish between the "good" bacteria or the "bad". This means that all bacteria is killed off, meaning that there is no resistance to other common infections such as yeast infections, which is people often suffer from yeast infections after taking antibiotics. In addition, many women find that they suffer from repeat attacks of urinary tract infections within a couple of months of taking antibiotics. Antibiotics can also cause other side effects such as nausea and diarrhea.

Some people also try over the counter treatments. I have never personally found these to be effective. In general, they only provide a little symptomatic relief and seem to do very little to fight the actual infection. They can be pretty costly and there is no guarantee that they will work.
A good urinary tract infection home remedy works not only by killing off the bad bacteria, but it enhances and strengthens the immune system meaning that the body is better able to cope with all manner of infections, not only those if the urinary tract. Pain relief is often faster with a home remedy than with antibiotics as it often used a multi-faceted approach, tackling many of the symptoms at once. Accept the way things are in life. Only then will you be able to accept these points on urinary tract infections in men. urinary tract infections in men can be considered to be part and parcel of life.

Our Readers' Questions:
Is there a natural antibiotic I can use to cure a UTI, such as oil of wild oregano?
boo_kitty46 asked on Tue, 08 Jul, 2008
I read that oil of wild oregano has been used as an antibiotic for ages, and I prefer a natural remedy to pharmaceutical antibiotics.

AZO cranberry pills works wonders for me
mischa replied on Tue, 08 Jul, 2008
Try over the counter AZO, its a cranberry based pill that eases/ neutralizes the acidity in the urine and decreases inflammation in the urinary tract. Also drinking cranberry juice helps to. As for wild oregano, I've not heard anything about that. The AZO has been prescribed by Dr's in the hospital before. They state that they try that first, before introducing antibiotics, because people are being over-prescribed antibiotics.

No --- get to a dr. and get a prescription. UTIs can turn into kidney infections and get nasty. Do not take a chance.

NO! You HAVE to see a doctor to get RID of a UTI. AZO, Water, and Cranberry juice or pills PREVENT UTIs not CURE them!

it can be part of an effective plan taken 3 times a day.....cranberry pills can help also and can be taken with the oil of oregano.....drink plenty of water and avoid sugar in all forms during this type of treatment....also avoid alcohol, caffeine, and nicotine.....if your symptoms persist for more than 1 week or get worse, see a Dr

Cranberry juice is supposed to be helpful. And make sure you drink a lot of water.
I can understand not "wanting" to use regular antibiotics, but your health is at stake. Even if some natural remedies work, they will take longer than antibiotics prescribed by a doctor. And not treating the infection quickly could lead to a number of other serious health problems.

Drink your weight in water. Then pee. A lot.

Cranberry juice. It raises the acid level of urine and will kill the bacteria causing the infection.
Cranberry juice, not cocktail or blend-- straight juice.

I wouldn't know. Drink lots of water and cranberry juice. It works for me.
